Highland Disabled Ramblers aims to enable mobile disabled members to access and enjoy our beautiful Highland countryside, using rough terrain mobility scooters. Additional Information : Scooters need to be booked for each ramble and our drivers collect them from our base in Inverness (we own 10) and take them to the start of the rambles in one or 2 large hire vans. Walkers help with safety issues, such as crossing roads, and pointing out any hazards along the route, but mainly provide company and support scooters users to get the most out of the day.

Scooter users who need assistance with personal care will need to bring along an assistant or carer. Well behaved dogs are welcome, and they need to be kept on a short lead at all times. Care of dogs during the rambles remains the responsibility of the owner. When preparing for a ramble members are urged to dress warmly with layers, waterproofs, hats and gloves, as sitting on a scooter can be cold.
