You’ve done it! Give yourself a pat on the back (but don’t strain yourself). You’ve hit 20 waypoints on our Loop of Health, History and Hope and now you’re at Friars’ Bridge. That big hotel is where part of the Dominican Friary used to be, but most local people remember it as the site of the Glebe Street Baths where generations of children learned to swim. Oh and if you’re wondering why we created 20 waypoints and not, say, 10 or fifty, it’s because this project was created by the charity Partnerships for Wellbeing. We’ve been around since 2004 so this is our 20th anniversary and, for the past ten years, we’ve been based at our attic offices on Wells Street…just a few yards from the Loop starting point. So, take a breath and now do it all again in reverse. No?

The Loop videos are presented by Grace Nicoll and Karen Bartke and directed by Jeff Zycinski. Marie Law was the production assistant. The Map illustrations were created in water-colour by Laura Jackson. The Inverness Loop of Health, History and Hope was produced for the Inverness Festival of Walking & Wheeling by Partnerships for Wellbeing, a registered charity No SC036055
