Yep, it’s a long way from The Eagle to here, but we have a good reason from bringing you so far. You see we wanted to show one of the latest active travel paths which takes you from the business park, through the university campus and then across the golden bridge and back into town. It shows how these active travel paths and corridors really can provide a safe and efficient way of criss-crossing the city, especially for cyclists. And there’s history here too. You’ll have come along North Caulfield Road or else be standing beside Caulfield House. Both named after Sir William Caulfield - a famous son of Cradlehall - who supervised the building of General Wade’s military road. You see how there’s a connection with connections there?
