We’re going loco down in Whin Park now. Anyone who grew up in Inverness over the past 40 years will have spent many a happy hour here and the miniature railway continues to delight locals and visitors alike. These days it’s run for the benefit of the Highland Hospice charity. It’s now one of the country’s most reliable train services and they rarely, if ever, resort to a bus replacement schedule. You can also take to the water over at the boating pond. Those boats more reliable than a Hebridean ferry service, you say? Och you! Behave yourself! Whin Park is another part of Inverness that’s just undergone a refurbishment with lots of new things to swing from or climb on. We’re hoping they’ll bring back the legendary playpark chute, but we hear Tom Cruise has nicked that for his next Mission: Impossible movie.
